A Saline County man remains in a Little Rock hospital after a single vehicle accident on Saturday in Benton, according to authorities.
Lt. Kevin Russell of the Benton Police Department said around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to Benton Parkway for reports of a wreckless driver. When they arrived, the found a gold color GMC Sierra turned over in a field at Benton Parkway and Pleasant Popular. The driver, 23-year-old Alexander Walls had been ejected from the vehicle.
Fred Ann “Button” Jackson, 63, of Traskwood, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25. She was born May 16, 1948 in Traskwood to the late Fred Dudley Jackson, and Minnie Jane Stuckey Jackson. Button was a graduate of Glen Rose High School, and a retired nurse. She was also a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, where she played the piano every Sunday.
She is preceded in death by parents, three sons, Kevin, Darren, and Paul McCutcheon; one sister, Mary Smart, and one nephew, Steve Weir.Â
Dean Lampkin, 75, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24. He was born October 9, 1936 in Danville. Mr. Lampkin was in sales and a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Eula Lampkin; two brothers, Lavon “Von” Lampkin and T. C. Lampkin and a sister, Levoy Lampkin.
