Don Allen Sadler, 70, of Bauxite died March 31, 2011 at Saline Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 15, 1940 to the late Huey Kagler and Velma Pauline â€śBetteâ€ť Sadler.
He graduated from Bauxite High School and married his high school sweetheart, Glenda Magby. Together they raised four children and in January 2010 celebrated fifty years of marriage. He spent his working career in the Face Veneer Industry where he learned the business from the ground up and later retired from Woodlast.
Ernest â€śDickâ€ť Melton, 68, of Benton passed away on March 26, 2011. He was born on February 24, 1943 to the late Herbert and Zona Melton in Little Rock.
Dick enjoyed being outdoors whether hunting, fishing or camping. His most treasured memories are times spent with his family by his side. Dick was a 49 year member of I.B.E.W. Local Union 295. He retired after 39 years while serving as the Assistant Business Manager. He was a Mason at Mary Williams Lodge #307 and attended Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene.
The Cardinals fought hard Friday, but it wasnâ€™t enough as Episcopal won 15-13.
The game, which was scheduled to be played in Little Rock, was instead played at Harmony Grove. The loss gives the Cardinals an 0-2 record in 3A-5 Conference playa after losing to Glen Rose earlier this week.
Still, Harmony Grove head coach Brandon Kelly was proud of the way his team played.
â€śOverall, we played a complete game. We just flat out got beat tonight,â€ť he said. â€śWe werenâ€™t beating ourselves. We got runs and good, solid hits.
