DAVIS: The return of the ‘Accidental Tourist’

History has proven that any member of the Davis clan who goes on vacation is destined to become involved in a mishap of one sort or another.
The curse is well known and can be documented well into previous decades. Regular readers of this column may remember the “Big Bird” incident.

Carmon Woodrow Hulsey

June 24, 2011

Carmon Woodrow Hulsey, 94, of Benton, passed away June 23.  He was born March 4, 1917 in Sayre, Alabama to the late William and Pearl Hulsey.  Carmon was a Pipe Fitter for Reynolds Metal Company, member of Calvary Baptist Church of Benton, Benton Lodge 34 and a  Army Veteran of World War II.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two grandchildren.

John Warren Page

John Warren Page, 63, of Benton, passed away June 22, 2011.  He was born January 29, 1948 in Morrison, Illinois to the late Beverly W. and Barbara Page.  John’s passion was singing with Barber Shop Quartets.
 Survivors, brother, James S. Page and wife, Carole of Spring, Texas, sisters, Pamela Fjeld-Hansen and husband, Jan of The Woodlands, Texas, Patricia Luers and husband, Dennis of Grapevine, Texas.
 Cremation arrangements were through Ashby Funeral Home.Memorial services will be held at a later date.
