Lorene Turner, 84, of Benton, passed away June 30 in Bryant. She was born June 14, 1927, in Dora, Ala. to the late Henry and Nora Cornelious Tingle. She was a retired banker for City National Bank in Ft. Smith and a member of Northside Church of Christ in Benton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, McDuffie Turner, brother, Edward Tingle, and three sisters, Viola Peterson, Louise White, and Billie Harmon.

Norma Claire Spoonts, age 86, of Stamps, passed away Thursday, June 30. Mrs. Spoonts was born April 22, 1925, to James and John Christine Puska, in Waldo. She was a licensed beauty operator and a member of First United Methodist Church in Stamps.
Mrs. Spoonts was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James D. Puska.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Spoonts of Stamps, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
