Alleta W. Hanks, 85, of Benton died Sunday August 7, 2011 at her home. She was born September 9, 1925 in Dahlgren, Illinois. Alleta was retired and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Edna Garrison, and by her husband of 57 years, Bill Hanks.
 
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Rieben and her significant other, J. S. Frazier, Benton; sisters, Hellen Sailor, and Kate Whipple, both of Illinois; one grandchild.
 

Johnie Otis Ward

Johnie Otis Ward, 87, of Benton, passed away August 9.  He was born April 9, 1924 in Jessieville, to the late John and Almeda Ward.  Johnie was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Korean War.  He was a 32nd degree Mason and attended Mt. View Baptist Church.  Johnie was preceded in death by his brothers, William Ward, Rector Ward, Walter Ward and Thomas Ward, sisters, Ida Ward, Mandy Murders and Violet Cockman.
 
 

Kennith Earl Wilkerson

Kennith Earl Wilkerson, 71, of Benton, our precious husband and father went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 8. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and spending time with his wife, family and friends. Kennith served four years in the United States Air Force and retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He and his wife are members of First Southern Baptist Church of Bryant.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Retus and Nadine Wilkerson; one brother, Jimmy Wilkerson; and one sister, Yvonne Shaw.
