BRYANT — The Bryant Lady Hornets’ inconsistency has subsided for the time being according to Coach Beth Solomon and it showed as Bryant defeated 7A Central conference foe North Little Rock 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-19) on Thursday night in Bryant.
Even though both the Lady Hornets and Lady Charging Wildcats have a 5-2 conference record, Bryant holds the tie-breaker between the two teams, giving them second place behind Conway.
Fae Dean Roberts, 88, of Benton, passed away September 21. Â She was born on September 19, 1923 in Highland, Arkansas to the late Joe B. and Lillian Gertrude Thomasson.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Orville Roberts; one son Don Roberts and wife Cheryl of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter Judy Yearry and husband Allan of Benton; one brother Jack Thomasson, and four grandsons, Baron and Josh Roberts, and Brent and John Yearry.

She graduated from Arkadelphia High School and attended Henderson State Teachers College. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton.
