A legislative audit of the 2010 finances of the city of Bryant has been referred to the office of Saline County Prosecuting Attorney Ken Casady.
On Monday, Casady confirmed the accuracy of this statement and said, "It is too early for me to say who might be at fault or if criminal charges will follow, but we are looking into what the audit referred to us."
The Bauxite Lady Miners held the Pulaski Robinson Lady Senators to six points in the second half in defeating them 48-24 in 7-4A conference action on Tuesday at Fred Dawson Gym in Bauxite.

I thought we did a pretty decent job of scrambling and hustling defensively. Out of the press, we had some people out of position and a few people not rotating quick enough. They got a few deep passes and some easy shots there early.â€ť
Bobby Carl Spencer, 76, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10.Â He was born Sept. 29, 1935, to the late Dennis and Helen (Bryan) Spencer in Benton.Â He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, who loved him dearly.Â He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and taking his dogs, DeDe and Gypsy, to the lake.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Spencer, and one sister, Winnie Spencer.
