Billy Bob Sullivan, 80, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012.Â
He was born June 26, 1932 in Bauxite, Ark.Â
Billy was a member of Mars Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was the longtime owner of Bill’s Station in Sweet Home. Billy was known nationwide as an Antique Cadillac Restoration Expert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Lillie Sullivan; son, Randy Sullivan; grandson, Terry Lynn Schrum; two brothers, Raymond and Bonnie Sullivan; and two sisters, Dorothy Burks and Delcie Phillips.
Imogene Aileen Scarbrough, 94, passed away on December 29, 2012.Â
She was born in Haskell, Ark. on December 28, 1918 to Grover C. and Clara (Allen) Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert Augustus “Doc” Scarbrough; all of her siblings: Marie Westbrook, Otis Mitchell, Polly Breitweiser and Norene Moore; son-in-law, Carroll Lewallen; grand son-in-law, Jon Richard Ewing; and a great granddaughter, Erica Bloom.
Infant Kathryn Drew Brothers of Benton became one of God’s little angels on Dec. 28. She was born Dec. 16, 2012 in Benton.Â
Kathryn was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Francis and Russell Robinson, Irene and David Ferguson and Vernon Brothers.
She is survived by her parents, Jerad and Lauren Brothers; brother Witt Brothers; sister Molly Kate Sutton; grandparents Lynne and Dave Hicks, Mark Ferguson, J.D. Brothers and Tonya and Terry Noto; great-grandparents Jean and Buddy Brock and Mary Brothers; uncle Dane Ferguson; uncle and aunt Jay and Sarah Brothers; and several cousins.
Janet Lou Aldridge, 79, of Paron went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 26. She was born Dec. 1, 1933 to the late Betrum and Margaret Lindsay in Rock Falls, Ill. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Alexander and retired from Farm Bureau Insurance. She loved music, loved to sing, and loved sewing. In addition, she played the piano and taught many Sunday school classes throughout the different churches that she and her husband, Rev.
Joel Mendal Overton Sr., 76, of Malvern passed away Monday, Dec. 24. Joel was born Oct. 16, 1936 in Traskwood, to William and Ruth (Oakes) Overton. Joel was the president of Able Abilities and an advocate for people with disabilities. Helping the disabled was his passion, and Joel never looked at his muscular dystrophy as being a disability. He looked at it like it was always an ability — an ability to grow, to teach and to help others. Joel was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping. He was an advocate for betterment of the city of Malvern.
Mary Frances Ledbetter, 84, of Benton, passed away Dec. 28. She was born April 3, 1928 in Little Rock to the late Jack and Marie Barnes. Mary Frances was a beautician and a member of First United Methodist Church in Benton. She traveled with her late husband, A. C. Ledbetter and was a member of the Good Sam’s Club.
Mary is survived by her sons, Steven Ledbetter and wife Susan of Benton and Michael Ledbetter and wife Raquel of Benton.
Chapel service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 at Ashby Funeral Home, with burial to follow at New Rosemont Cemetery.
