A juvenile, Paxton Griffith, who was reported as a runaway recently out of our department has been located and is safe. Thank you for your help in trying locate him.

When President Obama’s $825 billion stimulus bill was signed into law, he promised it would save or create 3.5 million jobs and keep the unemployment rate below 8 percent. Three years later, with 12.7 million Americans looking for work and unemployment above 8 percent for 37 straight months and counting, the economic recovery President Obama promised us still hasn’t happened. By any standard, the stimulus has failed and only served to dig our country deeper into debt.

Panthers' pitching nearly perfect

BENTON - It was a scoreless game through four innings, but the Benton Panthers came away with a 5-0 victory over the Monticello Billies Friday night in Benton. Junior left-handed started Justin Vincent gave up one hit, a double in the second inning, and retired the last 13 batters he faced. The Panthers retired the last 16 batters of the game.

“He did a great job,” Benton Coach Mark Balisterri said of Vincent.
