Years ago my spouse told me that I asked more questions than anyone he'd ever known.
"Well, think about what I do every day," I countered. "Newspaper people are supposed to ask questions. That's the way we find out how to inform the rest of you folks."
Ed snickered, then said, "I can't prove it since I didn't know you earlier, but I'll venture a bet that you didn't start asking all these questions after you became a reporter. You probably were already that way."
He started to walk away, then turned and added, "I'll bet you were born that way."

Town Hall meeting in Benton on Thursday

A town hall meeting will be held on Thursday by the Benton Police Department to present a life saving service called Smart911.
"There is a vast amount of opportunity for our 911 service. Smart911 could provide faster, safer public safety response that could save lives," Police Chief Kirk Lane said. "We want to first educate the public about the program. Then we want people to give feedback and input on if we should pursue this or not."

Bryant wins without rest

SHERWOOD – The Bryant Lady Hornets have been busy. After routing Van Buren 17-0 in 7A Central conference play on Thursday, the Lady Hornets played six games in two days in the Van Buren Invitational, winning it to remain undefeated on the year.
