Brian Frederick Sudderth, 56, died on April 16. Born in Arrington, England, he was the son of Lt. Col. Ralph M. Sudderth, Jr. and Emily Spindler Sudderth. He attended Hall High School in Little Rock and graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. He then attended the University of Arkansas Medical School and served his family practice residency in Asheville, North Carolina. He practiced medicine for almost 30 years, first in Bryant, and was currently at Family Practice Associates in Benton.
Veral L. Hines, 76, of Benton, passed away Monday, April 16, in Bryant. He was born August 4, 1935 in Thayer, Kansas. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for over forty years as a railroad clerk.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hines of Benton, three sons; Wade Hines and wife Kendra, Tracy Hines, Rueben Dilks, four daughters; Dianne Liptak and husband, Greg, Deborah Gelnett and husband, Jay, Sharon Pearcy and husband, Randy, Brenda Stone and husband, James, three brothers, and one sister, eleven grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren.
James Edward Ward, 78, of Benton passed away on April 19, with his family by his side. He was born on January 19, 1934 to the late, Hollis Edward and Jessie Lee Ward in Calhoun City, Mississippi. James retired from the Bryant School District after 28 years of employment. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and going fishing. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. James most treasured times were spent with his family and he loved spoiling his grandbabies.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond and Joe Lee Ward.
Dale Eric Boston, 45, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away April 14. Born in Wichita, Kansas, on May 5 1966. He was the son of Bill N. and Coyla Brooke Boston.
He is survived by his parents, a brother, Greg Boston and wife, Sandy; sister, Jolene Gilmore and husband, Brian; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 21 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. Tina Brown and Rev. Earl Andersen.

Kenneth D. McClenahan, 73, of Bauxite, passed away Thursday, April 19. He was born June 8, 1939 in New DeRoch. Mr. McClenahan worked in construction and was a member of Social Hill Missionary Baptist Church.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Myrea McClenahan and a brother, Neal McClenahan.
An "independent accountant's report" created by local certified public accounting firm Yoakum, Lovell & Co., PLC, indicates funds totaling "$6,445 in unaccounted revenue" in the Benton Park's and Recreation Department. The funds in question are specifically related to the concession stand account used by the department for operations at city parks.
Inquiries regarding the report were referred to Benton City Attorney Brent Houston who said the report was not a "financial audit" of the department but rather a review of procedures used in accounting for transactions.
It's been said that lightning never strikes twice in the same place. Everett Buick GMC is proving that old sayings aren't always true. For the second consecutive year, Everett has earned the designation "Dealer of the Year" for the General Motors Corp. This honor is given to only 2 percent of Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers in the region.
In a ceremony to mark the occasion, representatives from GM came to the Everett dealership to congratulate Susie and Dwight Everett and the staff for their accomplishments.
LITTLE ROCK â After storms on Friday, the Bryant Hornetsâ game with the Little Rock Catholic Rockets was postponed until Saturday at Lamar Porter Field in Little Rock and the Hornets came away with a 3-1 extra-inning victory in 7A Central conference action.
BENTON â If there is one team in the 6A conference with a better chance to win the state title than the Benton Lady Panthers, they have not made their way to Lady Panther Park in 2012. Since having their 18-game winning streak snapped last weekend in the Beebe/Searcy Tournament at the hand of Jonesboro Westside, Benton has ran their new streak to four straight after winning their 10th consecutive conference game on Saturday against Texarkana. After Friday was filled with rain and high winds, Benton was forced to reschedule until Saturday, where they won 7-3.
BAUXITE â After losing their previous two games, the Bauxite Miners picked up a 4-2 win over the Episcopal Wildcats in non-conference play on Thursday in Bauxite. The Miners received good fundamental play, pitching and defense to hold on for the win.
âWe were real solid on defense and we bunted the ball real well,â Bauxite Coach Michael Mattox said. âWe got two great bunts from our three-hole hitter and we got another good bunt from Blake Yates and thatâs what got us going.â
