Murder suspect Danny Wayne Stalnaker voluntarily surrendered to Hot Spring County authorities at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Stalnaker was to be transported to the Saline County Detention Center.
Stalnaker was being sought in conjunction with the murder of 35-year-old Christopher Patterson of Traskwood.
Patterson reportedly died from a head injury suffered shortly after midnight Saturday, according to Lt. Scotty Courtney of the Saline County Sheriff's Office.

OMAHA, Neb. - Pitching a combined four-hit masterpiece, Razorbacks Ryne Stanek and Barrett Astin achieved a 2-1 victory Monday night over defending national champion and SEC rival South Carolina thrusting Arkansas alone in the winner's bracket of its College World Series Bracket 1 at TD Ameritrade Park.
With its 8-1 victory over Kent State last Saturday and 2-1 triumph Monday, Arkansas advances 2-0 to Thursday night's winner's bracket game against Wednesday's loser's bracket winner between South Carolina and Kent State.
Saline County authorities are investigating the murder of a 35-year-old Traskwood man.
Christopher Patterson reportedly died from a head injury suffered shortly after midnight Saturday and authorities are seeking 64-year-old Danny Wayne Stalnacker for questioning in the case.
A warrant has been issued charging Stalnacker with first-degree murder.
Benton School Board has paved the way for UALR-Benton Center to expand its facilities by the board's vote Monday night to purchase First Security Bank's downtown facility for a new central administration office.
The board voted 4-2 for an agreement to purchase the bank facility for housing the district's central administration facilities.
