Jimmy Wayne Dodson Sr., 65, passed away on July 31.Â He was born Dec. 27, 1947, in Benton.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Velma Dodson.
He is survived by a son, Jimmy Wayne Dodson Jr., as well as many friends and family members.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Peaceful Haven Funeral Home in Benton.Â No memorial service is planned.

Mary Davenport Wert Kimpel, 89, of Little Rock passed to the Lordâ€™s care on Aug. 1.
Mary was born Dec. 9, 1922, to William and Katherine Wert in Chattanooga, Tenn. She graduated from Benton High School. After working for a few years as a receptionist at the Hurricane Creek aluminum plant in Bauxite, she met a young engineer named Paul Henry Kimpel Jr. They were married on July 19, 1944, and enjoyed 68 years of marriage.
BRYANT â€“ After winning its second State Championship in the past three years with a 4-2 win over Rogers Heritage, the Bryant Hornets have received national recognition as two of its players were honored with awards. Second baseman Ozzie Hurt was honored with the American Baseball Coaches Association Rawlings Gold Glove and pitcher Nate Rutherford received the Louisville Slugger Honorable Mention All-American after his stellar season and being named MVP of the State Tournament.
Rutherford put it bluntly when he told the reason for his success this year.
