Lawana Sue Grace, 62, of Lonsdale passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, at Stoneybrook Health & Rebhab.
She was born Aug. 12, 1950, in Searcy to the late James E. and Florence J. Kilman Dunham.
Mrs. Grace had previously worked in nursing homes.Â
Donald Barnes, 76, of Benton passed away on Sept. 3, with his loving family by his side.Â He was born March 19, 1936, to the late Reece and Mabel Barnes in Keo.Â Donald retired from Alcoa after 30 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on airplanes and cars. Donald was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Shane Mathis; a sister, Ann Cline; and his brother, Gerald Barnes.
Judy D. Caudle, 71, of Benton passed away on Sept. 3.Â She loved spending time with her family and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Verna Freeman; a daughter, Deborah Curry; and one brother, Charles Freeman Jr.
Judy is survived by her son, George Curry, and wife Teresa; a daughter, Sheila Curry; six grandchildren; five brothers; five sisters and many family members and friends who loved her and will miss her dearly.
Marion Jr. Craft, 84, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4.Â
He was born Sept. 7, 1927 in Lonsdale to Sophia Josephine (Cash) Craft and Francis Marion Craft.Â
He entered the Army in February of 1946, serving his basic training at Camp Crower near Neosho, Mo. (south of Joplin).
After basic training, he went home for 20 days until June 1, 1946, when he traveled by train to Seattle, Wash., where he was stationed.Â Early one morning with full field pack, they hiked (apparently near San Francisco) through a gate that read, â€œWorldâ€™s Best Damn Soldiers Walked Through This Gate."
