Terry Fay Russell, 60 of Alexander, passed away on Jan. 16, 2013.
He loved fishing and old classic cars. He was a loving man who loved his wife and had a love for all children. He was a father to many, loved to play pranks, was always joking and always shared love with everyone he met. He was a God-fearing Christian man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erple and Willie Russell; and his brother, Perry Russell.
Guy D. â€śButchâ€ť Hendrix, 69, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17. He was born Nov. 11, 1943, at the Bauxite hospital.
Butch retired from Alcoa as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of New Life Church of God, member of Moose Lodge No. 2567, a die-hard Elvis Presley fan and loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He coached softball at Sardis and was very proud to be a Watch Dog Dad at Pine Haven Elementary School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Willis Hendrix and Helen Ruth Lemons Hendrix; a daughter, Tina Renee Hendrix Quantz; and an infant grandson.
Donald Wesley Jordan Sr., 72, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, at his home. He was born Aug. 4, 1940, in St. Louis, Mo.
Donald served his country in the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. He was a certified locksmith, a 32nd-degree Mason, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a Shriner. He was a member of Grape Chapel Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Pearl Adams Jordan; a son, Mark Jordan; and a grandson, Matthew.
BENTON â€“ The Benton Panthers had very little problem to improving to 4-0 in the 7A/6A South conference when they trounced the Arkansas High (Texarkana) Razorbacks 51-23 in a make-up game on Thursday night. Originally scheduled for Tuesday night, the game was postponed to Thursday due to inclement weather.
