Dovie Jewell Davis of Little Rock passed away Jan. 1, on what would have been her 75th wedding anniversary. She was born Nov. 15, 1914 in Saline County. She was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. Dovie was a gardener and truly loved flowers. She belonged to the Elmhurst Garden Club of Little Rock for 37 years. Recently she enjoyed her friends and activities at Andover Place.
Olin O. (Fritz) Hester, 89, of Alexander, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 23. He was born Aug. 28,1923, in Benton.Â Mr. Hester was a U.S. Army veteran, a mechanic and a 74-year member of Springhill Baptist Church.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Josie B. Hester; wife Bertha (Midge) Hester; and a son, Ronald Gene Hester.
Larry Eugene Oswalt, 64, of Hot Springs passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, with his loving wife Felicia and family by his side. Born Oct. 30, 1948, to the late W.E. â€śTinyâ€ť and Betty Oswalt in Forrest City, Larry was the older of two sons. He received his education in the Forrest City School District and was known as an especially talented and gifted athlete. Derick Guise Warrick, 52, left us for a better place Dec. 22.Â He was born May 18, 1960 in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of Drew and Elizabeth Warrick. He had been employed for 25 years as an engineer at the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality.
He was preceded in death by his father, Drew Warrick.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Warrick; sister Dalinda Greenman and husband Frank; a niece, Haven Cody; a nephew, Canyon Cody; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as a host of friends.
