Mary Louise (Love) Crissy, 104, was called to enter Heaven's gates on Oct. 17, 2013. Mrs. Crissy was the only daughter of the late James O. and Fannie (DeBerry) Love and was born in the Springhill area.
Mrs. Crissy was a former employee of Maybelline and was an accomplished seamstress, making many outfits for her nieces and nephews. She was also a former member of the Park Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Crissy; and her brothers, James Melton, Charles Dennis, James Otis, Rull Leonard, William A., and Arnold E. Love.
Bobbie Childress Hart, 84, a longtime Benton resident, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 16, 2013. Bobbie was the daughter of the late Plummer and Toncie Childress.
Bobbie was a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church for 20 years and a member of WMU for 20 years, serving as president for five years, vice president for five years and secretary for five years.Â Her heart was dedicated to missions and was evidenced by her support of the Dixie Jackson, Annie Armstrong and Lottie Moon mission programs, as wellÂ as her faithful support of Billy Graham.Â
Jeffrey Zane Neel, 19, of the Big Creek Community died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, in Saline County.Â He was born in Benton on Dec. 22, 1993, to Jeffrey Shawn Neel and Nikki Hewitt Neel Garrett.
Zane attended school in Poyen for a time prior to being home-schooled by his mother, Nikki.Â He worked at Walgreens and attended Pulaski Technical College studying auto mechanics.Â Zane was currently working as an auto mechanic for Riverside Acura-Subaru in Little Rock.
He was a member of Calvary Southern Baptist Church, and was an avid musician.Â
