Rylie Lattin, infant daughter of Bobby Lattin and Meagan Greene of Benton, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013.Â
Preceding her in death were her grandmother, Kelly Greene, and her grandfather, Robert Lattin Sr.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Ryan Holt; her maternal grandfather, James Greene of Benton; her paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Wood of Alexander; and her maternal great-grandparents, Ron and Jimmy Meyer of Saline County.
Arrangements are by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton.
Tiffany Gail Dodgen, 30, of Paron passed away Oct. 17, 2013. She was born Dec. 9, 1982, in Benton to Jimmy Hester and Lois Nash Hester Scallion.
Survivors include her husband, Travis Dodgen; two sons, Gabriel Clark and Wyatt Dodgen, both of Paron; two daughters, Rebecca Hester and Ava Dodgen, both of Paron; her parents, Lois and Joseph Scallion and Jimmy Hester, all of Paron; her brothers, Joshua Hester of Benton and Jarrod Hester of Paron; her grandfather, Odell Hester of Paron; and her grandmother, Betty Nash of Benton.
George Marvin Bufford passed away on Oct. 17, 2013.Â He was born April 22, 1947 in Bauxite.Â He was the son of George Elijah Bufford and Ellen Murphy Bufford.Â George was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the VFW Post 2256 as well as the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and a sister, Zoundra.
Marcia Sue Jones, 75, of Benton went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Ms. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest David Swaby and Florence Isabell Daniels-Swaby, her sister, Esther Cotton, and grandson, James Dwight Jones.
Joshua Clint Humes, 29, of Alexander, passed away Oct. 16, 2013.Â He was born Dec. 19, 1983 in Little Rock to Herbert and Janet Ransom Humes.Â Joshua was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.Â
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.C. and Rose Humes.
Mary Louise (Love) Crissy, 104, was called to enter Heaven's gates on Oct. 17, 2013. Mrs. Crissy was the only daughter of the late James O. and Fannie (DeBerry) Love and was born in the Springhill area.
Mrs. Crissy was a former employee of Maybelline and was an accomplished seamstress, making many outfits for her nieces and nephews. She was also a former member of the Park Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Crissy; and her brothers, James Melton, Charles Dennis, James Otis, Rull Leonard, William A., and Arnold E. Love.
Bobbie Childress Hart, 84, a longtime Benton resident, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 16, 2013. Bobbie was the daughter of the late Plummer and Toncie Childress.
Bobbie was a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church for 20 years and a member of WMU for 20 years, serving as president for five years, vice president for five years and secretary for five years.Â Her heart was dedicated to missions and was evidenced by her support of the Dixie Jackson, Annie Armstrong and Lottie Moon mission programs, as wellÂ as her faithful support of Billy Graham.Â
Jeffrey Zane Neel, 19, of the Big Creek Community died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, in Saline County.Â He was born in Benton on Dec. 22, 1993, to Jeffrey Shawn Neel and Nikki Hewitt Neel Garrett.
Zane attended school in Poyen for a time prior to being home-schooled by his mother, Nikki.Â He worked at Walgreens and attended Pulaski Technical College studying auto mechanics.Â Zane was currently working as an auto mechanic for Riverside Acura-Subaru in Little Rock.
He was a member of Calvary Southern Baptist Church, and was an avid musician.Â
Lorene Boyd Newcomb, 93, of Benton passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013. She was born Oct. 27, 1919 in Benton. Lorene was a housewife and had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Benton since 1946.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John P. Boyd and Ruth Ann Moore Boyd; her husband, J. C. Newcomb; her brothers, John David and James Boyd; and her sisters, Emma Ruth Bryant and Evelyn Blakley.
Lorene was an avid china painter.
Mary Lois (Hollinger) Pearson, 89, of Bauxite died Oct. 14, 2013, at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House in Bryant.
She was born July 18, 1924, in Prattsville, to the late John Wesley and Nancy (Roberts) Hollinger.
She was a secretary for Kraft Foods of Little Rock and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Sardis. She taught Sunday School at various churches for more than 60 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. "Woody" Pearson; a sister, Joann Walters; and four brothers, Dennis, Bernice, Charles and Ralph Hollinger.
