BRYANT- The Bryant Hornets made nine 3-pointers in a 65-52 victory over the Lake Hamilton Wolves on Tuesday night. The Bryant Hornets improve to 13-7 (2-4) on the year.
“We’re going to have to be a team that does shoot it well,” Bryant Coach Mike Abrahamson said. “It’s hard work. There’s a comfort level out there that we haven’t seen all year in terms of our shooters.”
BENTON – It didn’t look promising for the Benton Lady Panthers on Tuesday night, but they remained undefeated in 7A/6A South conference play with a 33-29 victory over the El Dorado Lady Wildcats at Benton Arena. Besides a 3-2 lead at the 5:54 mark of the first quarter, the Lady Panthers wouldn’t lead again until sophomore guard Braxton Chumley hit a 3-pointer with 4:41 left in the fourth to give Benton a 28-27 lead.
Troyce Thelbert Halpain went to be with the Lord on Jan. 19. He was born to Callie and Homer Halpain on Nov. 5, 1931, and raised by Prudy and William Hall. He attended Collegeville Church of the Nazarene on Hilldale Road. He was deeply loved by his children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all. Except for God and family, his first love was his music. He loved to play and listen to his children sing. He worked hard and gave 100 percent at every job and everything he did. We were so blessed to have had him in our lives.
