Katty Aline Saffold Myers Biltoft, 90, of Eureka Springs passed away Feb. 2 in Berryville. She was retired from the Arkansas State Hospital after 30 years of service. Katty was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ruby Saffold; her husband, Aubrey Myers; three brothers and one sister.
Herndon Watson, 78, of East End passed away Friday, Feb. 1. He was a Baptist, a Korean War Navy veteran, a retired transportation supervisor, a youth baseball and softball coach, an avid Razorback fan and loved to dance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Watson and Della Watson Kaiser; and his wife, Joan Strange Watson.
Jack White, 87, of Bauxite passed away Feb. 1. He was born April 15, 1926 to the late Lou Abber Medley in Hollywood.Â
He was of Baptist faith, a U.S. Navy veteran and a painter of tractor-trailer semis. Â
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Floyd White.
Duuna Dee Shirley Westlake, 47, was called home Jan. 31. She was the wife of Pastor Ty Westlake of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Owasso, OK. Duuna was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, wonderful Christian woman. Through her nine years fighting cancer she held her faith and never gave up.
James Russell Spivey, 55, of Southhaven, Ms., passed away Jan. 29. He was born February 4, 1957 to Mackey and Ester Spivey. James was retired from the United States Air Force, serving twice in Desert Storm.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mackey Spivey.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Maggie) Spivey of Southhaven, Ms., sons, Bryson Spivey of Benton, Richard Guice of Woodlands, Texas, daughters, Nikki Spivey of Benton and Stephaine Turley of Conway, brother, Mike Spivey of Benton, mother, Ester Louise Spivey of Benton and his beloved dog, Shasta.
Joseph Luther Wells Jr., 91, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, at his home in Benton.Â
He was born Aug. 6, 1921 to Luther and Lessie Wells of Sheridan.
He was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, a 50-year Mason and a World War II veteran.Â
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Wells; two brothers; and two sisters.
The inaugural “Walk, Run and Roll” 5K to benefit special children at Friendship Community Care’s MiChild Preschool is scheduled Saturday, March 9.
Walkers and runners of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in the event and the “MiChild Mile” taking place at Hurricane Lake Estates in Benton.

Benton police have arrested four people in connection to Wednesday's West Side burglary and recovered more than $1.3 million in pharmaceutical medication on nine different properties throughout Benton, Malvern, Hot Springs and Bismarck.
Lt. Kevin Russell said the arrests were made in conjunction with with seven law enforcement agencies and the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy.
