The Churches Joint Council on Human Needs pancake breakfast is set for 7 a.m. Saturday at Salem United Methodist Church, 1647 Salem Road. Ticket prices are $6 for one person or $10 for two. Those interested may call 501-315-0599.
Proceeds will go to benefit CJCOHN to cover costs of installing flooring at the CJCOHN facility.
CJCOHN, which has its headquarters at 103 E. Elm St. in Benton, provides such items as clothing, food, medications, utility assistance and supplemental food delivery to senior citizens.
The Saline County Sheriff's Office is requesting help in located a wanted felon in the East End community.
Jacob Wooten, 29, is wanted for several crimes, including battery in the first degree and felon in possession of a firearm. He is "considered armed and dangerous," according to Lt. Scotty Courtney of the Saline County Sheriff's Office.
Wooten is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds.

Ida Nix, 98, of Haskell, went to be with the Lord and Savior on April 11, 2013.Â She passed away at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant.Â Ida was a housewife and attended the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, AugustÂ â€śGusâ€ť and Allie Gustafison; her husband, John E. Nix; a son, J.C. Henshaw; and a half-brother, Burt McDaniels.
She is survivors by her son, Jimmy Henshaw of Haskel;l and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
