BRYANT – The Bryant Hornets soccer team wasted little time in dispensing of the JA Fair War Eagles 9-0 in 7A/6A South conference play on Friday at Hornets Stadium.
Junior Bryce Denker scored five goals in the win, the second time this season Denker has scored five goals in a game. But Denker didn’t start the game with a goal. It was an assist to senior Cameron Furton from Denker at the 36:14 mark of the first half that got the scoring started.

LITTLE ROCK – The Benton Panthers soccer team had no trouble with the JA Fair War Eagles in 7A/6A South conference action on Wednesday in Little Rock. The Panthers won 7-0 and Coach Bobby Winn said his team didn’t suffer a hangover after its emotional victory against Bryant last week. It was the first time Benton boys soccer beat Bryant since 2004.
“The team played really focused after a huge win vs. Bryant and did not play into a trap game situation,” Winn said.
