The man who last month allegedly shot himself on a stranger's front lawn on Millbrook Cove in Benton was arrested Friday, following his release from a local hospital.
Timothy Gauldin, 29, of Benton has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and filing a false police report.
A friend of Gauldin, 35-year-old Jason Gaunt of Benton, allegedly gave him the gun, according to police. He was arrested the day after the shooting and charged with furnishing a felon with a weapon.
According to the Arkansas Department of Justice, no exact time has been set for the hearing in the extortion case of Arkansas Treasurer Martha Shoffner, but it should begin in the next 30 minutes or so. It will be in the court of U.S. Magistrate Judge H. David Young.
