ExxonMobil seeks dismissal of lawsuit over spill

June 7, 2013

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Attorneys for ExxonMobil Corp. and Exxon Pipeline Co. have filed a motion asking for dismissal of a lawsuit by Mayflower residents over a recent oil spill.

ExxonMobil Pipeline's Pegasus pipeline ruptured March 29 and spilled thousands of barrels of oil in the town about 25 miles northwest of Little Rock and forced the evacuation of about 20 homes.

A lawsuit by Kathryn Jane Roachell Chunn and Ellen Burgess asks for unspecified damages because of diminished value to their property and nuisance.

Bryant PD arrests Kum & Go robbery suspects

June 7, 2013

Bryant police on Thursday night arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that took place at the Kum & Go on Reynolds Road last week.
Keifer Collins, 18, of Little Rock is charged with felony aggravated robbery, felony theft of property, and misdemeanor tampering with physical evidence.
The second suspect’s identity cannot be released at this time because he is a minor, said Sgt. Todd Crowson.
However, due to the seriousness of the crime, he has been certified as an adult for the same charges as Collins.
