Ray A. Roth, 95, of Benton passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013. He was born Aug. 20, 1917, in DeQueen. Ray was a retiredÂ member of Iron Worker Local 321 and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Christian Henry Roth and Anna Roseta Roth; his wife of 61 years, Flora Roth; four brother and four sisters.
He is survived by his son, Michael R. Roth and Lisa of Bryant.
Graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, at Pinecrest Memorial Park by Ashby Funeral Home. The Rev. Kim Hammer will officiate.
Gunnar Garza, 13 months, of Benton was granted his angel wings on July 29, 2013.Â He was born on June 18, 2012 to Skip Garza and Jennifer Bridges in Little Rock.
Gunnar is survived by his loving parents; a sister, Tabitha Garza; his grandparents and many family members and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.

Larry Eugene Pruitt passed away Sunday morning, July 28, 2013.Â He was 74.
Larry was born July 17, 1939, in Schnook, Kan.Â A retired engineer from Hot Springs, he also worked as a school bus driver and maintenance man in McFarland, Calif.Â His passion was playing lead guitar in his band and fishing. Â
He lived a very courageous life with a heritage of President Zachery Taylor on his father Earnest Eugene Pruitt's, side of family and Sitting Bull on his mother Vivian Irene Pruitt's side of family. Also preceding him death was his son, Kenneth Ray Pruitt.
James Martin Mahan, 74, of Hot Springs went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 27, 2013.Â He was a retired employee of Reynolds Metals in Benton and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amy Gunter and Roscoe Mahan; a sister, Shirley Ann Mahan; and three brothers Calvin, Johnny and C.J. Mahan.
Laveta Jestice, age 78, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013. She was born Nov. 20, 1934 in Paragould. Laveta was retired from AT&T after 231/2 years and was a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Dove Emma McNeil Scrivner; a sister, Mary Lee Bacon; and a brother, Sank Scrivner.
Sarah Dean Combs, 76, of Bauxite died Friday, July 26, 2013.
Sarah was born June 24, 1937, in Durham, N.C., to the late Nathanial Austin and Ina Mae Lewis.
Mrs. Combs is survived by her husband, Ernest Combs; her children Kathy Murphy, Peggy Burnett, Michele Foucault, Lori Combs, Pete Combs, Scott Erdman, and Richard Combs; a brother, Gene Lewis; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at Trinity Baptist Church on Highway 183 in Benton.

Barney Melton Sikes Jr. of Benton passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the age of 74 in Little Rock.
He was born Oct. 20, 1938, in Montrose to the late Barney Sr. and Pearlie Mae (Mitchell) Sikes.Â He retired from Reynolds Metals Co. as the plant engineer in 2001.Â He was also vice president of Hurricane Creek CU board and spent time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
Barney enjoyed traveling, spending time with and cooking for family and friends, and most of all sitting on his deck overlooking the river.
Cledis A. Davenport, of Benton, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, at the age of 82. He was born August 18, 1930 in Sheridan, to the late Grover and Grace Davis Davenport. He had an extensive career with the federal government, retiring from the U.S. Army and the Pine Bluff Arsenal.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Maxine Swilling Davenport, and his parents, Grover and Grace Davis Davenport.
Cecil â€śWayneâ€ť Bright, 61, passed away July 24, 2013.
Wayne was born Aug. 30, 1951, in Hawkinsville, Ga. Wayne was of the Baptist faith. He loved gospel music.
Wayne had many talents including a beautiful singing voice, playing the bass, violin and piano. His children fondly remember him attempting to dance and teaching them to crochet and knit.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Opal Bright.
Carl James Hardwick, 87, of Little Rock passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013. He worked for Bean Music Co. for 32 years and started Hardwick Band Instruments in 1970. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a member of Parkway Place Baptist Church.
