Benton police officers are warning residents of a phone scam after witnessing it taking place.
Officers were informed that a businesses owner had received numerous phone calls from someone pretending to be with Entergy Arkansas. The caller said that the owner had not paid their bill, and it needed to pay it immediately, or it would be shut off.
While the officers were at the property, the person called again and officers spoke with him.
