John William Nalley, 78, of Benton left this life to walk with the Lord he adored on Saturday, June 15. He was born in Benton on July 17, 1934, to Charlie and Daisy Nalley.

Donald Paul 'Frog' Perryman

Donald Paul “Frog” Perryman, 58, of Bauxite passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013.  He was born June 20, 1954 in Little Rock. 
Donald worked at Quality Auto Parts for 20 years, was a heavy equipment operator and a professional AMA #52. 
He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Paul Perryman; and a daughter, Gina Marie Perryman.

Bulah Geraldine Wolfe Rumley

Bulah Geraldine Wolfe Rumley, age 85, of Benton passed away Friday, June 14, 2013. She was born Oct.16, 1927 in Ripley, Tenn.
Bulah was a housewife and a member of Bryant's First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodie S. and Edna Hughes Chipman.
Survivors include a son, Carl Monroe Wolfe Jr. of Rich Square, N.C.; two daughters, Betty Wolfe of Bryant and Jerry Snow Anthony, Texas; a sister, Evaldine Castle of Memphis, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Martha Ann Wilson White, age 55, of Benton passed away Friday, June 14, 2013.  She was born July 1, 1957, in Benton.
Mrs. White was a nurse’s aide.  She was preceded in death by her father, James Wilson.
 She is survived by her husband, Gary White; five children, Kelley D. Lewis, Christopher L. Newkirk (Cody), Tina Grant (Brian), Gary White Jr. and Conner White; her mother, Juanita Robertson (Frankie); five siblings, Robie L. Robertson, Donnie Wilson, Phillip Robertson (Linda), Rebel L. White (Tommy) and Daniel Robertson; and four grandchildren.

Paul 'Tater' Sweeten

Paul “Tater” Sweeten made his mark on the football field, but went on to influence generations of Houston students as a coach, mentor, and teacher. After battling the effects of cancer for more than 30 years, Paul passed away peacefully June 5, 2013.

Wanda J. Mauldin, 64, of Benton, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Heritage Health and Rehabilitation Center Hot Springs.
Wanda was born Feb. 6, 1949, in Emmet to the late Rose S. Mauldin, but grew up in Benton.
Wanda attended the Ralph Bunche School in Benton and worked at Benton Services Center until she became disabled. She was a member of St Paul Baptist Church and was an usher.

Patsy Louise McCool, 78, of Bauxite passed away June 12, 2013.  She was born April 2, 1935, in Bauxite to the late Horace and Emma Kentner Whitfield. 
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edgar McCool; her stepmother, Alma Robinson Whitfield; a sister, Gail Craig; a grandson, Robert McCool; and a great grandson, Preston Crutchfield.

Ola Jannette Lovell

Ola Jannette Lovell of Benton died Thursday, June 12, 2013. She was born Dec. 27, 1917, in Hot Springs.
Jannette lived in Saline County for more than 70 years and was a member of Holland Chapel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Swinford and Martha Ann Elizabeth Harrison Swinford; her husband, Charlie Clifton Lovell; a daughter, Janice Eubanks(Bill Eubanks); and a grandson, Wayne Lovell.

Joe Lee Richards Sr.

A Saline County icon, former Sheriff Joe Lee Richards Sr., 78, of Benton died in his sleep the evening of June 13, 2013, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Mr. Richards was one of the unique individuals who was recognized immediately without repeating their whole name. Ask anyone who lived in Saline County for the past few decades, “do you know Joe Lee?” and everyone knew who you were talking about.
Joe Lee was born to Garland Mick and Zella Richards in Saline County on May 15, 1935, and worked most of his life in this county.

Faye F. Emmons

Faye F. Emmons, 83, of Benton passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013. She was born Jan. 7, 1930, in San Angelo, Texas.
Faye was a homemaker and a member of Tyndall Park Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelvin and Katie Marshall Williams; her husband, John D. Emmons; her brothers, Fred and Earl Williams; and her sisters, Judy Metcalf, Aline Erwin and Loyce Fisher.
She is survived by her sons, Steve Emmons of Benton, John Scott Emmons of Texas, and Alan Emmons of Benton; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
