November 8, 2013

Benton police are looking for a suspect involved in an attempted armed robbery Thursday night at Home Run Gas Station on Military Road.
The owner of the store told officers that he was stocking shelves when he heard a noise at the front door. He said he saw the suspect holding a handgun trying to force his way into the business, but when the owner called 911, the suspect ran away.
"The suspect was described as being a white male, wearing a light-colored, hooded jacket, dark colored pants and a white bandana over his face," said Lt. Kevin Russell, Benton police spokesperson.
