NOTICE: Water main breakage in Benton

October 17, 2013

FROM BENTON UTILITIES:
Crews have just arrived on scene of a busted water main on W. Sevier at Maryland. We have called in an emergency locate where other underground utilities can mark their lines, so we won't hit them. The crew is gathering the necessary supplies and equipment to make the repair at this time. As soon as the other utilities in the area are marked, they will reduce the pressure in the area to make the repair, so some customers will notice little to no pressure until the repair is made.

Beebe told reporters that he planned to call for the session to begin Thursday afternoon, with lawmakers expected to work through Saturday on the plan to address the rate hikes. Beebe's office said the governor planned to issue a formal proclamation calling the session later Wednesday.
