A total of 12,238 ballots have been cast in the six days since early voting started Oct. 20 in the November general election.
Broken down by specific sites, the Saline County Clerk's Office reported that 5,653 people have voted to date at the county election center ("vote here" building) in Benton; 3,446 at Grace Church in Bryant; 2,235 at Bank of the Ozarks (formerly Summit Bank) in Hot Springs Village; and 904 at the East End Fire Station.

The last of three public meetings to discuss the future of recycling bins in Saline County will be held at 7 p.m. at Bryant City Hall.
During the meeting, Michael Grappe, executive director of the Saline County Regional Solid Waste Management District, will speak about the history of the bins, the purpose they have served and the anticipated future of the program.
