LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) â€” A divided Arkansas medical panel has voted to require doctors to perform an ultrasound test on a patient before carrying out an abortion.
The Arkansas State Medical Board voted 7-6 Thursday to implement parts of a state law, which also requires doctors to tell a woman the likelihood of a fetus surviving if carried to term.
The Arkansas Human Heartbeat Protection Act initially banned most abortions 12 weeks into a woman's pregnancy.
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. â€” NASA's new Orion spacecraft circled the planet Friday on a high-stakes test flight meant to usher in a new era of human exploration leading ultimately to Mars.
The unmanned journey began with a sunrise liftoff witnessed by thousands of NASA guests. Parts of the spacecraft peeled away exactly as planned, falling back toward Earth as onboard cameras provided stunning views of our blue, cloud-covered planet.

Mr. James â€śMikeâ€ť Seymore went to be with his Lord with his family by his side on December 1, 2014. He was born January 25, 1970 to James and Sarah Seymore Sr.
Mike and Tammy were married in 1995 at Salem United Methodist Church where they were faithful members for fifteen years. For the past five years they have been actively involved at the Family Church in Bryant. Mike served in the sound department and his wife is on staff. He loved the outdoors especially during deer season.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Seymore Sr.
