Hugh 'Dennis' Gant, Jr.

Hugh “Dennis” Gant Jr., 71, of Benton passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2014.
He was born Oct. 2, 1942, in Fort Smith to the late Hugh D. Gant Sr. and Frankie Smith Gant.
Dennis enjoyed water skiing in his early years. Another favorite hobby was working in his yard. Dennis loved driving his red 1976 T-top Corvette until it didn’t run as smoothly as he liked, and traded for a red Mustang convertible.
Dennis was a Razorback fan and held season tickets for 10 years. He is remembered for taking care of family and putting others first.

Ann Louise Wetzel

Ann Louise Wetzel, age 70, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on Sept. 25, 2014.
She was born Oct. 21, 1943, in Amarillo, Texas. to Earl Leroy and Dorothy Wetzel.
Ann lived in several states and Puerto Rico, finally settling in Texas after marriage to Anthony Yates, where she lived until recently.
She was predeceased by her father, Earl Wetzel.

Realtor's body found; suspect pleads not guilty

LITTLE ROCK — A man accused of abducting and killing a real estate agent in rural Arkansas pleaded not guilty Tuesday to preliminary charges of kidnapping and capital murder, hours after the woman's body was discovered in a shallow grave.

Arron Michael Lewis appeared in court Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to one count each of capital murder, kidnapping and robbery, as well as four weapons charges, according to the office of Pulaski County District Judge Wayne Gruber.
