BRYANT – The Bryant Lady Hornets swim team definitely defended its home turf at the Bryant Invitational at the Bishop Park Natatorium in Bryant on Thursday. The Lady Hornets pounded their opponents scoring 476 points, 230 points more than second-place Malvern’s 246 points. The Benton Lady Panthers would take third with 200 points, followed by Rogers Heritage (187) and El Dorado (149).
During a special meeting of the Bryant City Council, the council approved spending up to $5,000 to repair or replace the Bishop Park pool pak pump.
The meeting lasted about four minutes, said staff attorney Chris Madison.
“While doing regular maintenance personnel discovered a weird noise,” Madison said.
This equipment regulates the pool temperature and the temperature in the building, said Parks and Recreation Director Derek Phillips.
