Eugene L. Keesee, 69, of Benton died Sunday, Oct. 30. He was born June 22, 1942, in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Laverne Townsend Keesee and a brother, Melvin Keesee Jr.
He is survived by wife Mildred Keesee of Benton; brother, Ray Keesee of Benton; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Goodrich of Malvern; Wanda Crumley and husband Bill of Clinton.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m. at Old Union Cemetery by Ashby Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 31, 6 to 8 p.m. at Ashbyâ€™s Chapel.

Mary Maxine Raney 68, of Bryant died Oct. 28, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Little Rock. She was born May 31, 1933 in Redfield, to the late Walter and Tessie Hyde. Maxine loved God, her family, her friends, golf, the Razorbacks and old westernsâ€¦..in that order. She was a lifetime member of Society Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Benton. She attended Benton High School as well as the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Holiday Inn University in Olive Branch, Mississippi. She worked for Holiday Inns for over 30 years, opening several new locations in the Central Arkansas area.
Christine Louise Sams, 55, of Malvern, passed away, Oct. 28, at a Clarksville hospital. She was born February 14, 1956, to Willis and Thelma Schuler Sams in Malvern. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by four brothers, Willis Sams and wife, Regina of Hot Springs, Dennis Dillavou and wife, Wilma of Locust Grove, OK, Loran Dillavou and wife, Sandra of Little Rock, and Alan Dillavou of Arkadelphia; two sisters, Mary Downs and husband, Arlis of Mabelvale, and Bethel Peters and husband, Bobby of Benton.
