Habitat begins Apostles Build; home recycling also under way

September 16, 2014

Thirteen local churches have joined forces to provide a home for a Benton man.

Wes Hogue's new house is the focus of the annual Apostles Build of Habitat for Humanity of Saline County.

Work on the structure in Partnership Village began Saturday morning. Along with volunteers from the sponsoring churches, Hogue was on site to assist.

All homeowners are required to provide "sweat equity" toward their home projects and Hogue has been contributing to this requirement as a volunteer at the Habitat ReStore.
