Elsie Mae Ashcraft

Elsie Mae Ashcraft, 85, of Alexander went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014.
She was born Oct. 3, 1929, in Sheridan to the late A.N. Ward and Thelma Dortch Ward. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. She was employed by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (state Revenue Department).
Mrs. Ashcraft was a member of Temple Baptist Church for almost 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carolyn Sue Ashcraft; and a sister, Ethel Faye Torres.

June S. Caldwell Maner, 80, of Benton passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014. 
She was born May 22, 1934, in Ogden to the late Harold and Ninette Scholes.
She was retired from Benton Public Schools after many years of loving service. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and the Senior Ladies Bible Study.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harry G. Caldwell; her parents; and her brothers, Bob and Harold Scholes.

Betty K. Powell

Betty K. Powell, 75, of Bryant, passed away on Oct. 22, 2014. She was born on July 25, 1939 to Kermit and Lessie Green. 
Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years, Tommy Powell. She also is survived by one daughter, Debbie Robinson; two sons, Gary Powell and Neil Powell; grandchildren, Josh, Erin and Justin; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Ian and Ireland; sisters, Sara May and Dorothy Powell; brother, Billy Joe Green and a host of family and friends.
Betty enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family especially with her grandkids.
