Roscoe Leon Harris

Roscoe Leon Harris, 87, of Alexander, passed away Oct. 9, 2014. 
He was born Dec. 11, 1926, in Hot Springs, Ark., to the late Harvey and Bessie Huddleston Harris. 
Roscoe was a 32nd-degree Mason, of the Baptist faith and was retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad. He served in the Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, J.T. Harris and Charlie Harris; and his sister, Betty Harris.

Phoenix James-Christopher Benton

Our sweet, precious love, Phoenix James-Christopher Benton, was received by his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Oct, 8, 2014.
Phoenix was preceded in death by his big brothers, Isaac and Gabriel; and his grandfather, Walter Benton.
He is survived by his mommy, Lee; his daddy, Clay; his big sister, Julia; his big brothers, Kaeleb, Dominic, and Beau; his grandmothers, Jerri Lee Sharp and Annette Benton; as well as many aunts, uncles and extended family.

Joe Darrell Wehunt

Joe Darrell Wehunt, 62, of Benton passed away Oct. 5, 2014.
He was born Sept. 16, 1952, in Benton to the late Percy and Vada Bell Baker Wehunt. Joe was retired from Chamber Door Manufacturing. 
He is survived by two sons, Shawn Wehunt and Shane Wehunt, both of Glen Rose; the mother of his children, Bonnie Wehunt; two stepdaughters, Cheri Monroe of North Little Rock and Shannon Monroe of Texas; a brother, Ronnie Wehunt (Linda) of Bryant; and two grandchildren, Blake Wehunt and Catherine Rankin.

Flood possibility continues in much of Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK — The National Weather Service says the threat of flooding continues for much of Arkansas.
A flash flood watch is in effect through Saturday afternoon for about 45 counties in central and southern Arkansas in the area south of a line from Clarksville to Batesville.
