Ambrose Davis "Dave" Bridges, 93, of Benton died Feb. 8, 2014, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born May 7, 1920, in Campbell, Mo.
Dave was a retired fire captain with the Benton Services Center. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army (6th Infantry, 1st Armored Division).
He enlisted in 1938 and served until 1941 at which time he was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant. He re-enlisted in 1941, serving until 1945 when he was honorably discharged with the rank of corporal.
Frankie Witham, age 86, of Benton passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014.Â He was born July 8, 1927 in Benton.
Mr. Witham was a U.S. Army veteran, a surveyor for International Paper and of the Jehovah's Witness faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bessie Witham; his wife, Lissie Witham; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ausbrooks of Hensley and Janet Blankenship of Conway; a son, Jessie Witham (Bonnie) of Leola; a sister, Mary Russell of Benton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Richard Allen Bredensteiner II, 21, of Benton passed away on Feb. 6, 2014.Â
He was born March 12, 1992, in Little Rock to Richard Allen â€śPeteâ€ť and Melissa Meree Bredensteiner.
He was a Marine infantryman with India Company 3-23 U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, was employed by his father as a muffler man and was a graduate of Harmony Grove High School in Haskell, where he played as wide receiver on the school's first football team.
He was a certified nursing assistant at Arkansas Health Center in Haskell.
Richard was an avid gamer and outdoorsman and had a passion for wake-boarding.
