Anita Kathryn Demere

Anita Kathryn Demere, 63, of Benton passed away Jan. 4, 2014. She was born Sept. 15, 1950 in Little Rock to the late Harold and Mildred Hatfield Sirman. Anita was retired from the Arkansas Health Center in Benton and was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Demere of Benton; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8. at Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Paron.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Ashby Funeral Home.

Doris Cassie Sigler

Doris Cassie Sigler, 89, of Benton, passed away Jan. 3, 2014.  She was born Jan. 16, 1924, in Ward to the late Stanley B. and Willie E. (Rasbury) Wright.
She was a longtime clothing buyer for several retail organizations, the latest being Gingles in Benton.  She was a faithful member of Parkview United Methodist Church and involved in United Methodist Women’s organizations
Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband, James A. Sigler; a sister, Dorothy Hall; and a brother-in-law, the Rev. Charles Holcomb.
