Bryant 5th-grader wins essay contest

November 25, 2014

Zoe Turner, a fifth-grader at Hurricane Creek Elementary School, likes the tenth day of Christmas in the seasonal song “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”

In fact, she likes it so much that she was able to convince the judges of an essay contest that it’s really the best day of all.

Zoe’s essay about that particular day was selected as the top essay among all of those submitted in the contest that was open to fifth-graders throughout Saline County. (The essay appears on page 10 of today’s Courier.)
