LaVerne Bradshaw Lacefield, 86, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Valley Ranch Nursing & Rehab in Little Rock.Â
She was born Nov. 2, 1927, in Alexander to the late William O. and Nannie M. (Ulmer) Bradshaw.
Mrs. Lacefield was a school teacher for more than 30 years in the North Little Rock School District and Pulaski County Special School District.Â She was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Bradshaw; and two sisters, Lorene Ellis and Margaret McQuaigue.
Verna Faye Hodkin, 91, of Benton passed away on Dec. 8, 2013.Â She was born Nov. 5, 1922, to the late George and Bertha Melton in Alum, Ark.
Verna was a member of Holland Chapel Baptist Church for more than 15 years. She loved teaching Sunday School and being active in the church.
Mrs. Hodkin loved to cook, enjoyed pottery and was very proud that she was able to make a Christmas tablecloth for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Morgan L. Hodkin; a son, Phillip Hodkin; a grandson, David Pruden; two brothers and two sisters.
Patsy Wilkinson, better known as â€śNana," 65, of Bauxite went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013.Â
She was born May 19, 1948, in Benton.Â
Mrs. Wilkinson retired from the Alexander Human Development Center after 28 years and was a member of West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church.Â
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Vivian Cochran; her husband, Thomas Wilkinson; a brother, W.R. "Bill" Cochran; her grandmother, Gracie Gosvenor; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
