Michael L. Hill, 57, died on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his home in Bryant.Â Michael was born on September 5, 1956 to the late Nettie Mauldin and late Leroy Hill of Benton.Â He was an Army Veteran, worked for the Veteranâ€™s Administration and was a member of First Baptist Church in Bryant.
From Aug. 15 through Sept. 1, the Arkansas State Police and the Benton Police Department will be cracking down on drunk drivers.
This crackdown is part of the nationwide campaign "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."
In 2012, approximately 10,300 were killed in drunk-driving crashes and during Labor Day weekend almost 40 percent of all traffic fatalities involved drunk driving, according to the Arkansas State Police.

â€¢Kaci Hattabaugh of Benton was cited for animal cruelty at Walmart after leaving a dog unattended in a car.
â€¢A woman on Maple Street was transported to Saline Memorial Hospital after intentionally cutting herself on the leg.
â€¢A man on Ridge Drive reported he was receiving harassing text messages.
â€¢A woman reported a hit and run accident at Saline Memorial Hospital.
â€¢A man reported a woman stole his cell phone from his residence on South Neeley Street.
LITTLE ROCK â€“ After coming from behind to pick up a 6-5 win over Columbia, Tenn., in the quarterfinal round of the Mid-South Regional Tournament on Saturday, the Bryant Black Sox were down again on Sunday against the Missouri champions, Jefferson City, on Sunday at UALR â€˜s Gary Hogan Field. Behind 7-4 after five innings on Sunday, the Black Sox would scratch a run each in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to trail 8-7 going into the ninth. Thatâ€™s when the fireworks started.
