Dorothy Kindy Brown, 87, of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014.
She was born Aug. 4, 1927, in Bauxite to the late Thomas and Daisy Chrestman.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. She worked with the Boys' Shelter in Gainesville, Texas, and Superior Federal Bank in Little Rock.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved being outdoors, loved to draw and was a wonderful artist. She was married to Van Brown, who was the oldest living Razorback football player until his death in March of 2010.

ATLANTA â€” At least one of the two American aid workers who were infected with the deadly Ebola virus in Africa has recovered and was to be discharged Thursday from an Atlanta hospital, a spokeswoman for the aid group he was working for said.
Alison Geist, a spokeswoman for Samaritan's Purse, told The Associated Press she did not know the exact time Dr. Kent Brantly would be released but confirmed it would happen Thursday. Emory University Hospital planned to hold a news conference Thursday morning to discuss both patients' discharge.
