Faber Harold Grable, 81, of Bryant was born December 23, 1932 in Guy. Faber passed away on July 25, 2014. Faber retired from federal government service as an Aviation Quality Control Inspector where he oversaw quality inspections for construction of Presidential Air Force One and military aircraft projects. Faber was always eager to help both family and friends. His many acts of caring includes helping his community in disaster relief efforts from recent tornados.
Joe Ogden, 75 of Bryant, passed away July 26, 2014.Â He was born December 6, 1938 in Helena to the late he late R.V. and Edna C. Campbell Ogden. He remained in Helena until his senior year, at which time his family moved to Little Rock. He loved to reflect back on his days in Helena, often saying, "I love the Delta." Joe married the former Anna Elizabeth Vought, the love of his life, in 1969. Following graduation from Little Rock Central High School in 1956, Joe joined the Army and was in the U.S. Army Reserve for 8 years. He earned a B.S.E.
William H. â€śBillâ€ť Hamilton, a long-time resident of Saline County, Arkansas, was born in Oilton, Oklahoma November 10, 1938 to Buck and Polly Hamilton and departed this life on July 28, 2014, at the age of 76.
Bill served his country in Viet Nam as a U.S. Army medic and again later in life as a Captain in the Army reserves.
An effort by Our Community, Our Dollars to get a wet/dry issue on the Nov. 4 general election ballot has succeeded.
The required number of signatures on a petition to allow the sale and manufacture of alcoholic beverages in Saline County has been met, according to County Clerk Doug Curtis.
Curtis reported late Thursday afternoon that 31,528 signatures were processed and 25,653 were accepted after 5,875 were rejected.
He said 25,580 signatures of registered voters were required to place the measure on the general election ballot.
