A single-engine plane carrying three people crashed at the Saline County Regional Airport around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
According to a report from the FAA, a Piper PA-28 was practicing takeoffs and landings as a part of an instructional flight with a two-man flight crew and one passenger.
During one of the touch-and-go landings, the aircraft experienced a hard landing, causing the subsequent collapse of the left main landing gear, FAA officials said.
Thursday morning an unidentified man allegedly ran on foot onto Interstate 30 hitting the back of a FedEx truck.
The man's name and injuries are unknown at the current time, but he was taken by MedFlight to Baptist Health Medical Center as a precaution, said Benton Fire Battalion Chief Greg Ford.
