Bond revoked; rape suspect back behind bars

August 9, 2014

Saline County Circuit Court has revoked the bond of James Gilliam, who was arrested twice in connection for allegedly drugging and raping a juvenile.

Circuit Judge Grisham Phillips revoked Gilliam's bond in a proceeding Friday morning.
Gilliam, 32, had been out on a $100,000 bond.

According to Benton police, the male victim in the case provided information about a suspect, which led investigators to Gilliam.

Gilliam has been charged with rape, introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another person, and trafficking of humans.
