My top priority is fighting for policies that encourage private sector job creation in Arkansas, and the over 900 votes I’ve cast this year reflect that focus. I have hosted over 25 town halls as well as a “Jobs Conference” that brought together Arkansas job creators to discuss the challenges they face. Their message is crystal clear: Uncertainty kills job creation by discouraging risk taking and investment. What’s causing this confidence-crushing uncertainty? (1) Our overly-complicated tax code; (2) Government overregulation of job creators; and (3) A ballooning national debt. The U.S.

Stars shine bright for Bryant youth

Almost $15,000 was raised for the Bryant Boys and Girls Club at the inaugural Starlight Gala, presented by Landers of Benton and organized by the Bryant Rotary Club.
“We could not be more pleased with and grateful to our community for the overwhelming support at this event,” Suzanne Passmore, executive director of the Bryant Boys and Girls Club said. “Landers of Benton, Bryant Rotary and so many others went above and beyond to make this a successful event to benefit our kids.”

Bryant City Council to meet Dec. 29

An alcohol tax, plans for Raymar Road South, and the approval of a patrol fleet plan for the Bryant Police Department will be among the numerous topics addressed late Thursday at the Bryant City Council meeting.
The 7 p.m. meeting will be held at the Boswell Community Complex, 210 S.W. Third St. in Bryant and it is open to the public.
