WEATHER UPDATE: Flash flood watch in effect

May 21, 2013

A Flash Flood Watch for Saline County remains in effect from 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will redevelop over the area today and tonight. Areas of heavy rain will be likely this afternoon through the overnight hours. Rainfall amounts will average between 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts in excess of 4 inches possible.
Extremely amounts of moisture combined with several rounds of thunderstorms will allow for excessive rainfall and the potential for high water problems.
