Relay For Life of Saline County will host its fourth annual Celebrity Waiter fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Larryâ€™s Pizza, located off Arkansas 5 in Bryant.
Donations and tips given to waiters throughout the evening will benefit the 2013 Relay For Life event, the American Cancer Societyâ€™s largest annual fundraiser.
HOT SPRINGS â€” Authorities say an inmate who escaped from a central Arkansas jail last month has been recaptured in the Florida Panhandle.
The Garland County Sheriff's Office said Friday that Derrick Estell was in custody in Florida.
Sheriff's Deputy Scott Hinojosa says Estell had escaped the agency's custody on July 28 with help from Tamara Upshaw and others after returning from the Arkansas Department of Correction for a court appearance.
Investigators in Arkansas say they learned of Estell and Upshaw's whereabouts and worked with authorities in Florida to have them recaptured.
FORT HOOD, Texas â€” Army Maj. Nidal Hasan was convicted Friday in the 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood, a shocking assault against American troops at home by one of their own who said he opened fire on fellow soldiers to protect Muslim insurgents abroad.

Benton police officers are warning residents of a phone scam after witnessing it taking place.
Officers were informed that a businesses owner had received numerous phone calls from someone pretending to be with Entergy Arkansas. The caller said that the owner had not paid their bill, and it needed to pay it immediately, or it would be shut off.
While the officers were at the property, the person called again and officers spoke with him.
Officers caution residents about giving personal information if they receive a call similar to this.
