A Saline County mother was arrested Saturday for endangering the welfare of a minor. This is the second time she has been arrested on similar charges within 60 days.
Shelby Nalley, 31, of Shannon Hills allegedly left her child, who is approximately a year-and-a-half old, in her vehicle while she went inside Fredâ€™s Super Dollar Store. The vehicle was unlocked and the ignition was turned off at the time, said Asst. Chief Jeremy Brown, who was the arresting officer.
On Christmas at approximately 2:30 a.m. a Little Rock man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a vehicle.
Kenneth Allison, 24, of Little Rock was arrested near Palomino Drive and charged with breaking or entering and theft of property in connection with the incident.
Allison was allegedly seen near Stonewall Drive trying to open car doors, said Lt. Kevin Russell, Benton Police Department spokesperson.
When asked by officers why he was in this area, he â€śgave officers conflicting stories,â€ť Russell said.
Two men were arrested on drug charges after officers reportedly thought they looked suspicious on Christmas Eve.
Robert Reeder, 31, of Haskell and Paul Colony, 38, of Benton were arrested at the Military Mini Storage after officers noticed â€śa suspicious vehicleâ€ť at the business when the lights were out, said Lt. Kevin Russell, Benton Police Department spokesperson.
When officers spoke with the men, they determined they were both named on active warrants.
During their arrest officers allegedly located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Russell said.
